So far, I haven't had a lot of time to do work on my project, but I have gone out on the prairie once. I took around a hundred pictures and have yet to edit them. Once they have been edited, I will send them to Ms. Lewis and hopefully she can identify the plants in these pictures.

p14-1.jpg The two cuts in the tree you see were actually made on purpose. It is a process called girdling, that is meant to kill the tree and make it fall down, so new prairie grasses can grow in its place.
